Torre Orsina is a quaint quiet little village of twisting and turning footpaths and alleyways opening up occasionally to beautiful vistas.
We quickly settle into the pace of life in Torre Orsina. We sleep late every morning and stay up late each night. In the mornings Vic usually enjoys a little walk by himself while I have an espresso and “speak” with Elda. I join him outside until lunch at Luigina and Virgilio’s (Elda’s parents that live below her) is ready at noon. After lunch is over I help Elda with clean up, then Vic and I take a little nap. One afternoon I napped in the lower part of Luigina’s house where it was MUCH cooler. After our nap we would walk around a bit more, sit on Elda’s patio while the sun was going down or head out to the local bar for a little something cold to drink. Dinner’s we ate with Maria Giulia and Eugenio at their place a few doors down. We knew it was time to eat when we could see Eugenio frantically looking for us.
Evening festa activities usually consisted of music and dancing, but that's another story for a later blog...
